General Accounting
General Accounting provides expert accounting services to ensure the university’s financial operations align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
The team manages critical central office functions, including overseeing General Ledger operations, processing intercampus transactions, reporting Unrelated Business Income Tax, and managing capital assets and debt accounting. Additionally, we facilitate monthly and year-end closing activities to maintain financial accuracy and accountability.
During the Fiscal Year-End Close, General Accounting collaborates closely with campus departments and the UC Office of the President to compile, validate, and submit UCR’s financial data, ensuring accurate reporting at the systemwide level.
General inquiries regarding financial management/control matters should be sent to Finance and Administration Support and select Service/Business Area "General Accounting, Web Recharge & NCTs."
